From the front roof pillars forward, the Ridgeline has all-new sheet metal. A revised hood with a pronounced power bulge, new front fenders accentuating the squared-off nose, and more upright grille, complemented by LED headlights modified for enhanced illumination, are among the design modifications. A crossbar atop the grille bisects the headlamp lenses - gloss black on Sport trims and Black edition, chrome on RTL and RTL-E. A new front bumper emphasizes the robustness of the new Ridgeline's design. It includes broad side vents that flow air through the bumper and over the front tyres and wheels, creating air curtains to increase aerodynamic performance.
The Honda Ridgeline is powered by a 280-horsepower (SAE net) 3.5-litre direct-injected VTEC® V6 engine, mated to a smooth and quick 9-speed automatic transmission. Ridgeline's i-VTM4® torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system, now standard for 2023, improves controllability and traction management by automatically sending up to 70% of the engine's 262 lb of torque (SAE net) to the rear wheels and continuously apportioning 100% of that torque between the left and right rear wheels based on driving conditions at each wheel. The standard Intelligent Traction Management System optimizes power delivery and distribution in various circumstances, such as pavement (Normal mode), snow, mud, and sand.
