What is a Tire Rotation?
A tire rotation is essentially moving the wheels from one position to another to ensure even tire wear. For example, moving the front wheels and tires to the rear, and vice versa.
Why should I get a Tire Rotation?
Tires will wear unevenly based on their position on the vehicle. For example, if you drive a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, the tires on the rear of the vehicle will likely wear more rapidly than the tires on the front.
A tire rotation allows for tires to be worn evenly across the vehicle, which means that they need to be replaced less often.
When should I get a Tire Rotation done?
Tires will wear at different rates for different drivers and their driving habits. You should inspect your vehicle's tires regularly to be aware of any unusual wear, bulges, or cracks. Additionally, you should review the recommended rotation schedule for the specific tires you have purchased for your vehicles and rotate as recommended by the manufacturer.
Consider rotating your tires every six months, or 5,000-8,000 kilometres. Alternatively, request for your tires to be rotated when switching to or from winter tires.
